Ogilvy Australia shakes up Melbourne office with promotions and new hires

Ogilvy Australia has promoted Sharon Condy and Josh Murrell to the roles of group creative directors as part of a reshuffle at the agency’s Melbourne-based creative department.

Condy and Murrell have worked together for almost two decades, the last six at Ogilvy, most recently as creative directors.

The pair will lead creative work on the Mondelez portfolio including Cadbury, The Natural Confectionary Company and Oreo brands. They will also continue their creative leadership on CPA Australia, HostPlus and Swinburne Online.

Joining Condy and Murrell as group creative directors will be 20-year Ogilvy veteran Lenna Boland.

They will work alongside Ryan Clayton who was named creative director back in May.

Meanwhile, CHE Proximity pair John Pantzopoulos and Stephen Sheldon have joined Ogilvy as senior art director and senior copywriter respectively, while Andrew Vohmann has moved into an experience design lead role after four years as senior digital designer.

In his new role, Vohmann will work across the entire Ogilvy ANZ Network.

In addition, senior account director Bianca Kerr has been promoted to group account director, with account director Jenny McLarney moving into a senior account director role.

There have also been promotions for Cherry Lin who becomes senior account manager, while Kirstie Ly, Kim Thompson and Raj Thind have joined Ogilvy Australia’s Melbourne team as account directors.

Ogilvy Melbourne managing director Gavin MacMillan said: “These promotions come in recognition of the team’s continuous contribution to Ogilvy Australia and our client partners. This amazing group of individuals have dedicated themselves to helping us and our clients grow.

“Their loyalty and passion deserve this recognition. Together with our talented new arrivals, I have no doubt they will continue to succeed into 2022 and beyond.”
