Ogilvy Network ANZ adds director of marketing and PR

Ogilvy Network ANZ has appointed Danielle Mastronardo to the newly-created role of director of marketing and PR.

In the role, Mastronardo will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of marketing and PR strategies for Ogilvy Network’s five business units and will report to the leadership team.

She joins from production company Finch, where she held the role of head of PR and marketing since 2014. She collaborated with United Nations Development Programme to launch The Lion’s Share – a fund where brands contribute to the protection of our natural world each time an animal is featured in their advertisements. Mastronardo has also held roles at DDB and Droga5.

The Ogilvy Network ANZ CEO Sally Kissane said: “We couldn’t be happier to welcome Danielle to the Ogilvy team. Danielle has a great track record across a range of different agencies, and we look forward to working together to continue to build the profile of the Ogilvy Network.”

The Ogilvy Network ANZ chief creative officer Toby Talbot, who joined in December, commented: “Danielle has done such a great job at Finch. She’s been front and centre of marketing Lion’s Share. Now she’s got an even bigger job; marketing us! It’s so cool to have her on board.”

Mastronardo added: “People think of Ogilvy as an advertising agency. But it is so much more than that. I’m looking forward to help put more of a spotlight on the people their passion and the work they do.”

The Ogilvy ANZ Network was formed with Kissane’s appointment almost a year ago, bringing the creative agency, Ogilvy Health and then-named OPR (now Ogilvy PR) together as one unit.
