Ogilvy Sydney has appointed Juliette Tobias-Webb to the role of behaviour change lead for Ogilvy Change and Jason Westerman as senior strategy director for Ogilvy Sydney to build on the agency’s strategic capabilities.

Tobias-Webb joins the agency after a research fellowship with The Behavioural Insights Team in Sydney and has also achieved her doctorate at the University of Cambridge with a PhD in psychology.

In her new role, Tobias-Webb will be responsible for developing innovative solutions for brands through the agency’s behavioural interventions arm, Ogilvy Change.

Westerman joins Ogilvy from Red Engine, where he was client services director. Prior to that he was the director of planning and content at The Farm Digital.

His new role will see him drive brand stories through customer experience and communication across Ogilvy’s client roster which includes Nestle, KFC and Coca-Cola.

Ogilvy Sydney’s chief strategy officer, Toby Harrison said the appointment will put the agency “at the forefront” of behavioural science and customer experience disciplines.

“Every business is different requiring a very specific type of talent with an ability to work in a very precise way,” said Harrison.

“Ogilvy uses its team of highly connected specialists to collaborate and draw on each-other’s different skills in order to respond to a client’s needs in a bespoke and effective manner.

“Having professionals of Juliette and Jason’s calibre as part of our team puts Ogilvy at the forefront of the Behavioural Science and Customer Experience disciplines and I am delighted to welcome them both on board.”

Tobias-Webb said she was looking forward to work for an agency with a strong focus on behavioural science.

“Joining Ogilvy will allow me to combine my love of brain science and how it influences behaviour with some of the best creative minds in the industry. Together we will develop practical and innovative solutions and create measurable changes to our client’s brands,” she said.

Tobias-Webb and Westerman’s appointments are effective immediately.
