Paramount and Twitter’s global deal launches in Australia

Paramount Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) and Twitter today locally extended their multi-year global agreement to deliver premium digital content around Paramount ANZ’s biggest live events, hit shows and franchises from the company’s Australian portfolio of brands, including Network 10, Paramount+, MTV and Nickelodeon.

Tentpole programs and key sporting events will be eligible for Twitter marketing support and brand sponsorship sales rights via Twitter’s Amplify program, which marries Paramount’s premium video with Twitter’s paid reach and targeting.

Paramount ANZ will also tap into a broad range of Twitter marketing features from live video and real-time highlights to Twitter Moments.

Paramount ANZ’s partnership with Twitter allows customers to join the conversation and engage directly with Paramount ANZ’s young fans when they are discussing key cultural moments including live events, entertainment, news and sport.

In February,10 ViacomCBS officially changed its corporate name to Paramount ANZ. Paramount Australia & New Zealand then made some key sales leadership appointments. Under the new changes, all advertising revenue including Network 10, 10 Play and Paramount+ will fall within the national sales All Screens team, led by Lisa Squillace, national sales director, and the state sales directors.

New data collated by Twitter this year has shown that Australians flock to Twitter everyday to discover and consume content on topics they’re passionate about spanning from sport, to TV & entertainment.

The survey also showed that Australians turn to Twitter to supplement their TV viewing experience, whether it’s getting pumped for the upcoming season or watching sneak peeks before the next episode airs.
