Parental Guidance wins entertainment as Nine takes Wednesday

Nine’s episode of Parental Guidance was the #1 entertainment program on Wednesday night, as the network also celebrated another overall network share win.

Parental Guidance brought in a metro audience of 536,000, while Seven’s Home And Away episode aired to a metro audience of 533,000. The new series premiered to 629,000 metro viewers

Nine’s Hot Seat was next in entertainment, pulling in a metro audience of 426,000, followed by Seven’s Big Brother VIP which aired to 375,000 metro viewers. Big Brother VIP launched to 377,000 metro viewers, 561,000 viewers nationally.

Finding Cleo: A Nine News special aired to 459,000 metro viewers. 

The #1 program on Wednesday was Seven News, which had an average of 1.036 million metro viewers, ahead of Nine News with 1.009 million metro viewers ahead of Seven News at 6:30 which pulled in 952,000.

As previously mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 29.3% over Seven’s 27.8% share, while Ten had 15.6% and the ABC took an 19.3% share.

Nine also won primary channel share while the top-rating multi-channel for Wednesday was 9Gem with a share of 4.3%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 27 October, Wednesday’s episode of The Block was the #1 program nationally across linear with 1.522 million viewers including 196,000 on national BVOD and an uplift of 27%.

The program with the biggest uplift however was Wednesday’s episode of Nine’s Love Island which had an 85% uplift on overnight figures and had a total of 610,000 viewers overall and a national BVOD audience of 226,000.
