Party Tricks audience falls to 476,000 in second outing

Ten’s local political drama starring Asher Keddie and Rodger Corser has taken a tumble falling in its second outing, to 476,000 viewers, down from last week’s debut audience of 710,000.

It saw Ten’s share drop from 15.3 per cent last week to 10.8 per cent.

It was beaten in the 8.30pm timeslot by Seven’s The Blacklist which attracted an audience of 915,000 and Nine’s Big Brother which grabbed an audience of 637,000, down slightly on last week’s audience of 673,000.

Last week’s episode of The Blacklist was the most time-shifted program, with an extra 217,000 viewers taking its total audience to 1.115m. Last week’s episode of Party Tricks was watched by an extra 97,000 viewers, taking its total viewers to 806,000.

The absence of The Block: Glasshouse, meant that Nine was not able to manage an overall win, however a new episode of US sitcom The Big Bang Theory at 8pm was the most watched show of the night with an audience of 1.348m.

Seven won the night with an audience share of 23.2 per cent compared to Nine’s 20.3 per cent, with The X Factor Live Results show Seven’s most popular show, drawing an audience of 1.302m.

The new episode of The Big Bang Theory and the repeat episode were the top two shows across all demographics, with The X Factor coming in at third place.

Also on Ten, Gold Coast Cops, at 7.30pm, was watched by 617,000 while Family Feud had an audience of 646,000.

Homeland, on at 9.30pm, only managed to attract an audience of 211,000, down from last week’s audience of 307,000.

ABC grabbed an audience share of 15.7 per cent, with Australian Story at 8pm its best performing show with an audience of 918,000. Four Corners at 8.30pm was watched by 828,000 and Media Watch at 9.20pm saw 694,000 tune in.

In the news battleground, Seven News at 6pm was the winner, watched by 1.122m while Nine News drew an audience of 1.091m. Nine News at 6:30pm maintained a larger portion of its audience, with it only dropping to 1.087 while the second half hour of Seven News or Today Tonight was watched by 1.019m.
