Pat Rafter fronts $5m campaign for Mantra

Pat Rafter is to be the new face of hotels and resorts group Mantra in a $5m campaign.

The former tennis pro, who signed a three-year contract, was the “logical choice” for Mantra because he is a well travelled businessman and sportsperson with strong family values, marketing director Ken Minnikin explained.

The campaign, which includes TV, radio, print, digital and PR, breaks on Sunday.

“It’s not just that he is an incredible sports person and a former Australian of the Year. It is Pat’s well earned reputation for honesty combined with his down to earth nature which made him such a perfect match with Mantra,” said Minnikin.

The two commercials and were shot on location at Mantra on Salt Beach near the Gold Coast and at Mantra 2 Bond Street in Sydney.

The agency behind the campaign was Clemenger BBDO Brisbane.
