Paul Wilkinson resurfaces at Hatched

Former Half Dome head of commercial, Paul Wilkinson, has joined Hatched as the fellow indie agency’s new client and investment lead, Mumbrella can confirm.

Wilkinson’s role at Half Dome was made redundant in August, as he announced in a post made to LinkedIn.

“Bittersweet to announce that my time with Half Dome has come to a close,” he wrote of his exit. “I’d like to thank the whole team down there for a spectacular ride, I’ve learnt so much in the last 2 years that I will carry with me for a long time.”

Prior to Half Dome, Wilkinson was head of investment at The Media Store between for the two years to November 2021. He has previously held the same title at Amplifi ANZ and Carat Melbourne, the latter of which he spent the first 15 years of his career.

After a brief freelancing stint, Wilkinson commenced quietly at Hatched’s Melbourne office in October, and said he “couldn’t be happier about joining the team”.

“Hatched ticks all the boxes: impeccable reputation, an enviable long-term client roster, an awesome on-ground team, solid senior leadership with masses of experience and a plan to keep the business moving onwards and upwards,” he told Mumbrella. “It’s wonderful to be on board full time and already feels like home.”

Hatched general manager Rebecca Den Braber added: “Having someone of Paul’s experience and calibre is a game changer for Hatched. He’s been working on some projects with us for a couple of months and it’s such a great fit, we’re making it official. Thrilled to have him on board.”
