Perth radio ratings: Nova’s Nathan, Nat and Shaun continue to lead breakfast

This month, Nova 93.7 maintained its top position in the Perth radio ratings in the fourth GfK metro ratings survey of 2022, being followed by Southern Cross Austereo’s Mix 94.5 again this month.

96FM came in third overall, seeing a decreased overall listenership of 10.3% compared to 12.2% in May. Following was ABC Perth at 9.9%, and 6PR at 7.3%, seeing an increase in listenership of 0.4% since last month.

In breakfast, Nova 93.7’s Nathan, Nat and Shaun saw an impressive hike in their listenership, with their figures sitting at 18.4% compared to 15.7% last month – an increase of 2.7%.

Mix 94.5’s Pete, Matt & Kymba came in second, seeing a slight decrease to 11.9% this month, compared to 12.5% in May.

Nine’s 6PR’s Breakfast with Gareth Parker finally saw an increase this month after continued declines in previous periods, rising 0.8% in the breakfast slot to 8.6%.

6JJJ saw a slight increase in its breakfast market share, rising to 6.9% this month.

ABC News Radio came last place again this month in the breakfast ratings, dropping slightly lower in listenership to 1.3%. Other losses were seen in 96 FM, who dropped down 1.4 in the breakfast slot to 10.6%.

In Drive, Kate, Tim and Joel continued to hold the majority listenership, capturing 16.% of the overall share, a higher rate of listenership than last month. Nova was followed by Mix 94.5’s Carrie and Tommy, which boasted  12.1% of the market. Following first and second place in Drive were 96 FM and ABC PER, equally tied at 9.4%, followed by 6JJJ at 9.2%.
