Perth radio ratings: SCA’s Mix 94.5 lands highest drive-time audience share in Australia

Southern Cross Austereo has maintained its drive-time crown in Perth, with a 16.0% audience share in the third radio ratings survey of the year.

Its audience share – which places it above Nova 93.7’s 15.5% and Hit 92.9’s 11.9% – gives the station the highest drive-time audience share in the country. The next closest is Brisbane’s Nova 106.9, which this survey secured 15.8% of its local radio audience.

GfK measures drive from 4pm to 7pm on Monday to Friday. During this time, Mix 94.5 broadcasts The Rush Hour with Lisa and Pete (featuring Lisa Shaw and Pete Curulli) from 3pm to 5pm, followed by Kennedy Molloy (featuring Jane Kennedy and Mick Molloy) from 5pm to 7pm.

SCA’s Mix 94.5 also won across the board, despite falling 1.4 share points from survey two, with 14.2% of the audience.

Nova climbed 0.6 points to remain in second on 12.6%, while SCA’s other network, Hit 92.9 was on 9.8%, down 0.9 points.

Mix 94.5 also won the breakfast battle with Dean Clairs, Kymba Cahill and Matt Dyktynski (Clairsy, Matt & Kymba) taking out 14.0% of the audience. In survey two, the trio had 15.0% of the audience.

Nova 93.7 maintained its second position, with Nathan Morris, Natalie Locke and Shaun McManus (Nathan, Nat & Shaun) on 12.7% of the audience, down from 13.9% last survey.

ABC Perth on the AM dial had the third-highest breakfast share, with 11.6% (up 0.8 points), while Hit 92.9’s Heidi Anderson, Xavier Ellis and Ryan Jon fell 1.3 points to 9.6%. 

Australian Radio Network’s 96FM had 8.0% of the total audience of people aged 10+, up 0.5 points from last survey, with a 7.1% share in breakfast and 7.4% in drive.
