Peter Cornelius to take helm of Ebiquity Australia following Richard Basil-Jones’ promotion
Media benchmarking and marketing consultancy Ebiquity has announced Peter Cornelius will take the role of managing director for Australia and New Zealand.
Cornelius is taking over the role from Richard Basil-Jones, who will relocate to London to become Ebiquity Group’s global president.
Cornelius, the former managing director of media at Nielsen Australia, joined Ebiquity as head of client service for the consultancy’s media division in 2015. Previous to Nielsen, Cornelius served with the George Patterson Bates agency group.
Speaking about his successor, Basil-Jones, said: “His experience, calm hand and focus on our clients has helped build and shape our media practice to be the respected, independent media consultancy we have today.”
In his new role, Basil-Jones will assume global responsibilities for regions including North America, Europe and Asia Pacific along with the Ebiquity Practices spanning media, analytics, tech and ad intel.

The London-based listed company employs over 750 people including data scientists, developers, modellers, analysts, and digital and media experts in 20 offices around the world. The Sydney branch was founded after the company acquired local media benchmarking firm, Faulkner Media Management, in 2011.
