PHD Melbourne just the pill for Swisse Wellness as it wins media duties

PHD Melbourne has won the Swisse Wellness media account without a “formal pitch” the agency has reported, and it is now responsible for all media strategy, planning and investment.

The incumbent on the account was independent agency, Noisy Beat, with the appointment effective immediately.

Swisse and Noisy Beast have wholly parted ways

Last year, Clemenger BBDO Melbourne won Swisse’s creative account following a pitch, which came after Noisy Beast, which was also the incumbent creative completed a management buyout from H&H Group, owners of Swisse, to become fully independent in April.

The brand is keeping its marketing capabilities wholly in Melbourne, the city it was founded in over 50 years ago. PHD said the win strengthens its commitment to “working with notable and iconic local brands”.

Swisse Wellness owner, H&H Global, marketing director in the ANZ region, Kerrie Wade said: “The appointment of PHD is an exciting and logical step for Swisse and we are already seeing the benefits of our collaboration. We are looking forward to a great partnership.”

Melbourne managing director at PHD, Simon Lawson said: “We’re excited to formally announce our partnership with Swisse Wellness. They’re a quintessential Melbourne brand and we’re looking forward to using our challenger brand thinking to help them continue to grow.”

Lawson was appointed MD at PHD six months ago, as part of a national leadership restructure at the Omnicom Media Group agency.
