Phoebe Sloane joins Bullfrog
Founder of The Aunties and former senior copywriter at Clemenger BBDO Phoebe Sloane has joined Bullfrog as its new creative director.
Sloane joins the independent agency after three years at Clemenger BBDO.
Prior to that, she held creative roles at Special Group and Chep Network, working on iconic brands including Carlton & United Breweries’ portfolio, L’Oréal, Myer, ANZ, BMW, Uber Eats, and Bonds.
Sloane said she has “always admired the happenings” at Bullfrog.

“They have that dangerously potent combination of talented humans, good culture and innovation,” she said in a media release.
“They’re agile, full of energy and are assembling a team of formidable experts I selfishly can’t wait to learn from.”
She will help shape the agency’s creative offering, working closely with executive brand and experience director Tim Shelley.
“Phoebe is someone we’ve always admired — for her creative excellence, her belief in the power of community, and the way she shows up for the industry,” Shelley said in the release.
“When we sat down to talk about what we’re building at Bullfrog and what it could look like to work together, it just made sense. The chance to work with her again feels genuinely special, and we knew this was the right next step.”
Sloane is also the founder of The Aunties, one of the creative industry’s largest support networks for women and gender diverse people. What started as a junior mentorship program has grown into a 4,500-strong community.
The Aunties has paired over 500 members with mentors, celebrated working mothers with The Mummies awards, created a mentor training tool called Support Talk, and more recently, launched Auntie Intel, an anonymous data tool to monitor how women are feeling in the industry each and every month.
She is one of a handful of recent additions to Bullfrog. Former in-house agency manager at Honda Amanda Nicoll has joined as group business director, while Madieson Ryan has joined as an earned specialist from Great Wrap.
Former account director at VML, Joy Hudson, has joined as senior business director, and Deloitte’s creative project manager Alex Weston has joined as business director.
The appointments come after several senior creatives departed the agency, including Elle Bullen, Mike Doman, and Daniel Sparkes.
Bullen and Doman departed earlier this year to launch their own creative shop, Hellions. In May, Sparkes joined them.
