Pernod Ricard puts Jacob’s Creek creative out to pitch

Drinks giant Pernod Ricard has launched a global review of its creative account for the flagship Jacob’s Creek wine brand across it’s marketing disciplines.

The creative account, which currently sits with Cummins & Partners and Havas Worldwide as well as a number of other agencies, is believed to have seen up to two dozen agencies express interest.

A spokesperson for Pernod Ricard confirmed the review and said it included range of disciplines.

“We are currently reviewing suppliers across our marketing disciplines as part of a regular review process,” the spokesman said.

“Out of courtesy to those involved, we are unable to comment until the process is completed,”

Earlier this year Cummins released the second series of branded-content pieces for Jacob’s Creek starring Novak Djokovic in line with the Australian Open.

The campaign saw the tennis star opening up about some of his favourite dining experiences.

Pernod Ricard has been using the films strategically during major tennis tournaments throughout the year.

Marketing for the brand has been heavily anchored in celebrity endorsement in recent years with other ambassadors having included former Wimbledon champion Andre Agassi and actor Naomi Watts.
