Publicis Mojo’s Kellie Lennon has left the agency after more than 17 years years to join JWT Melbourne as client services director, with Whybin\TBWA Melbourne’s planning director Jacqueline Wang also joining the agency.

Lennon had been with Mojo as managing partner since 1996 but changed roles in September 2012 to take on the general manager title and Mumbrella understands she left the agency at the end of last year.

She said: “I have been in the industry for a long time and up until recently, have been with just one company. When I was ready for a change it was a daunting prospect. But when the opportunity came up to meet with the team at JWT an otherwise overwhelming decision was made incredibly easy.”

Lennon has worked on the Tourism Victoria, Nike Australia and Cadbury accounts and will be responsible for overseeing JWT Melbourne’s account management department, leading client relationships including Mondelez and Quit Victoria.

The agency’s managing director Michael Godwin said: “I have been looking to fill these roles for some time, and during my extensive search I constantly heard about the enviable skill sets of both Jacqueline and Kellie. After meeting them, I knew straight away they would be tremendous assets to our team and to our clients’ businesses.

“Planning is so close to the heart of the JWT brand so I’m particularly excited about being able to provide our clients with senior leaders of Jacqueline and Kellie’s calibre and vast experience.”

Wang has been with Whybin\TBWA since May 2007, initially joining the agency as a senior strategic planner before being promoted in January 2011 to the planning director role.

She has worked on a number of accounts including ANZ, Nissan, Infiniti and Medibank and is a member of the Victorian committee of The Communications Council.

“I am excited to be working with a very talented team to both create ideas for the great brands we have and to win new brands for the agency” said Wang.
