Publicis Sapient buys consultancy Third Horizon

Publicis Sapient has bought marketing and management consultancy Third Horizon in a deal finalised last month.

The announcement:

Pitcher Partners Sydney partner Rob Dando congratulates Publicis Sapient, the U.S based digital transformation arm of multinational consultancy network Publicis Groupe, on acquiring Australian strategic marketing and management consulting business Third Horizon.

In a deal which was finalised at the end of February 2020, Third Horizon will join the Sapient arm of Publicis Groupe, considered one of the ‘big four’ in consulting with over 20,000 employees and 53 offices globally.

A total of 65 staff Third Horizon consultants will join the Australian arm of Publicis Sapient as they expand their domestic offerings across locations in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.

Pitcher Partners Sydney acted as the lead adviser for Third Horizon co-founders Neville Bagot, Robert Kelly and Steven Metzmacher in the sale.

“This opportunity will allow the agency to scale up and offer transformational solutions to Australian businesses, while gaining to the resources and client base that come with a successful multinational firm like Publicis Sapient.”

Third Horizon saw significant growth since it was founded in 2004, providing services to some of the biggest players in infrastructure – including Lendlease and Ausgrid – as well as the NSW and Victorian state governments.
