Publicis Sapient makes two senior additions to global experience team

Publicis Sapient, Publicis Groupe’s digital transformation arm, has appointed Karin Giefer as senior vice president of experience and Quinnton Harris as group creative director of experience.

Both join the agency’s growing experience team, led by chief experience officer John Maeda, who was appointed last June, and will be based in the US.

Giefer and Harris

The experience team focuses on data, machine learning and creativity, and Maeda said his new hires have both engineering and artistic strengths.

“The expertise brought by Karin and Quinnton will undoubtedly strengthen Publicis Sapient’s ability to help clients thrive in the 4th Industrial Revolution with access to their blended engineering and artistic talents,” he said.

“At Publicis Sapient, we ground ourselves in a creative and humanistic approach to technology and design in order to deliver the most dataful experiences. In an era when businesses are rapidly learning how to speak machine to be fully competitive, Publicis Sapient works to humanise technology in a world that is increasingly digital.”

Giefer’s role will see her work closely with Maeda to get the agency’s LEAD experience system off the ground. She has spent time at McKinsey & Co, and was previously executive creative director at Frog Design and director of business innovation at Wieden + Kennedy.

Harris, meanwhile, will double up as Maeda’s chief of staff, and joins from Blavity Inc, where he was creative director.
