Qantas, TA and Cummins & Partners lead nominations in inaugural Mumbrella Travel Marketing Awards

Jurors from across the travel industry have pored through close to 100 entries in the inaugural Mumbrella Travel Marketing Awards with Tourism Australia, Qantas and Cummins & Partners among the most shortlisted companies.

The finalists have today been revealed across the nine categories, with the awards recognising the best of travel marketing.

The winners will be announced after the Mumbrella Travel Marketing Summit being held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney on April 5. Tickets can be booked here.

Tourism Australia and Tourism Western Australia have both been shortlisted for Marketing Team of the Year, along with Air New Zealand, APT, Visit Ballarat and The Travel Corporation’s Insight Vacations.

Travel Ad Campaign of the Year meanwhile will be selected from BWM Dentsu for Qantas’ Why We Fly, Cummins & Partners for Tourism Western Australia’s Just Another Day in WA, JimJam for Tourism Tasmania’s Stories Told from the Inside Out, and True for Air New Zealand’s A Better Way to Fly.

Tourism WA’s campaign is also shortlisted for Social Idea of the Year, PR Idea of the Year, Best Media Strategy and Best Use of Native or Content Marketing.

Qantas campaigns have been nominated for Social Idea of the Year and PR Idea of the Year,
while Weber Shandwick has also been shortlisted for Social Idea of the Year and Best Use of Native or Content Marketing.

Expedia and Contiki are up against Tourism Australia for Best Influencer Campaign with Get Lost, The Core Agency, NSW Parks and Wildlife Service and content agency Medium Rare in a four-way fight for Best Website.
