QLD Teachers Credit Union hires Interaction Communication Group

Interaction Communication Group has been awarded the creative account for Queensland Teachers Credit Union.

The announcement:

Brisbane branding specialists and creative agency Interaction Communication Group has been awarded the Queensland Teachers’ Credit Union (QTCU) account without a pitch.

Interaction’s Len Hannah says the account was a major coup for the agency, now in its 25th year, as credit unions were increasingly becoming a popular choice for borrowers.

“This is a very exciting account as more and more people are turning to credit unions as an alternative to the large banks for their financial services needs,” Mr Hannah says.

“A more personal service and the global financial crisis has driven a 30 percent increase in the take up of new loans provided by credit unions and building societies over the last 12 months.

“We have a solid track record within the financial and business sectors, including work with Credit Union Australia, and plan to utilise our strengths in branding and creative to push the QTCU at the forefront of this movement.”

The incumbent agency, Junior, was not asked to re-pitch.

Established in 1965, the QTCU Group has over 80,000 members, branches in 15 locations, employs around 200 staff and has over $1 billion in assets.

Interaction is a complete marketing and advertising services group specialising in development and management of brands, conceptual creative and production, planning and placement of all forms of media, strategic marketing and business plans.
