Queen Victoria Market moves media account to Spinach

The largest open-air market in the southern hemisphere has appointed Spinach to handle its media, digital and data accounts.

Spinach will take on Queen Victoria Market’s media planning, strategy and trading including all digital, social and search as part of the appointment.

Queen Victoria Market will benefit from increased marketing spend under Lord Mayr Sally Capp

The agreement follows an increased marketing commitment by Melbourne’s new Lord Mayor, Sally Capp, to the market’s traders.

Meg Dalla Lana, marketing manager for Queen Victoria Market, said: “Spinach’s ability to combine ideas, strategy, insights and data to maximise opportunities and deliver results is so refreshing and we’re thrilled to partner with them.”

Spinach’s general manager and media director, Ben Willee, added: “Spinach is delighted to be working with one of Melbourne’s most famous home-grown entities. Queen Victoria Market has enriched the lives of Victorians for generations and we look forward to helping the business grow bigger and stronger.”

Mumbrella understands the incumbent agency on the account was Nunn Media.

Spinach also works with Office Choice, the Reserve Bank of Australia, Emirates Leisure Retail, the Department of Health and Bushman.
