Realestate.com.au joins with See Want Shop’s Lisa Hamilton to launch travel vertical

Property site realestate.com.au has launched a travel vertical with Lisa Hamilton, founder See Want Shop, as a contributor.

The vertical joins five other lifestyle verticals for the real estate site.


The launch follows the departure of CMO Kieran Cooney yesterday. In its annual report the group revealed it had increased its marketing spend by 23% as it counters increased competition from Domain.

Mark Roppolo, REA group executive manager, content and production commented: “There’s a huge audience demand for travel and travel-related content on realestate.com.au/Lifestyle.We have an audience who love to travel and take design, architecture and lifestyle inspiration from around the world to bring back to their homes in Australia.

“We’ve been trialling travel related content on realestate.com.au/Lifestyle for some time and it’s already attracting huge attention and engagement. Our Casa Brutale story, showcasing a cliff house in Lebanon, is still the second most-popular article overall since the lifestyle launch.”

As part of the launch of the travel vertical, realestate.com.au has also introduced the #realestatetravels Instagram hashtag for its travel-related posts to create a visual feast of travel and hotel interior inspiration.

Hamilton will also promote @realestatelifestyle and #realestatetravels to her own audience and be involved in an ‘Instagram takeover’ via @realestatelifestyle.

Hamilton added: “I am so excited to join the realestate.com.au family as a contributor and expert in the travel, fashion and lifestyle space. I can’t wait to share my journey with the realestate.com.au community and hopefully inspire people around Australia to live a full and happy life.”
