Rip Curl reappoints Flourish as PR agency of record

Flourish PR has been reappointed by Rip Curl as its public relations agency, after it was enlisted for a one-off campaign earlier this year.

The agency’s remit will include covering media relations and strategy, with a “specific focus on on the Women’s side of the business”. This is the first permanent PR agency for the Australian surfing brand.

Flourish’s services will also see it grow and develop influencer marketing for Rip Curl, in addition to editorial outreach, “shining a light on the increasing number of girls and women engaging with surf culture and the brands ongoing commitment to them”.

The Flourish PR team

Neil Ridgway, chief brand and marketing officer at Rip Curl said that the business first engaged Flourish earlier this year to launch the ‘Summer Looks Good on You’ branding.

“We were extremely impressed and are thrilled to bring them on board to continue to partner with us on effective communications marketing.”

Founder and MD at Flourish PR, Angela Ceberano said that as fans of the surf brand, her team is excited to get to work on the account.

“We are particularly energised to encourage more people to try out surfing for themselves, as increasing numbers of fans head to the waves.”

Other recent client wins for the agency include Destination Phillip Island, Chisholm Frankston, Koena Skincare and Puopoli Salami.
