Wendell Sailor joins Youi’s ‘Who’s In the Car’ series

Car insurer Youi has featured rugby player Wendell Sailor in the latest episode of its ‘Who’s In the Car’ series.

Created by Emotive, the web video series hosted on YouTube is led by stand-up comedian Katie Burch and has previously featured The Veronicas and NRL brothers Sam, Tom and George Burgess.

In this episode a former teammate of Wendell, Ryan Girdler, feeds Burch intimate questions from their time on the field together including “you say you’re a pretty good wingman?” and “aren’t wingers just like muscly touch judges?”.

The car conversation discusses some of both Wendell and Girdler’s most successful moments in the NRL as well as Wendell’s reality TV stint in 2010 on Australia’s Greatest Athlete.

Simon Joyce, CEO, Emotive, said in a statement: “The series has been a cracking success to date and has perfectly complemented Youi’s more rational product advertising.

“The objective was to create entertaining content that the target audience chooses to consume, by dramatising Youi’s key strength of knowing their customers better in order to save on insurance premiums.”

Hugo Schreuder the Youi group chief marketing officer said the first three episodes had over seven million combined views.

“The engagement with the content was the real highlight for the Youi Marketing team – average watch time was over 2 mins with 95% positive sentiment across the 3 episodes.

“These results reinforced our commitment to this format and we are so excited to launch episode 4 today and be back in production with more episodes to come.”
