SBS rebrands content sales division
In preparation for MIPTV 2012, SBS has rebranded its content sales division to SBS International.
The announcement:
SBS has rebranded its Content Sales division to SBS International as it prepares to take one of its strongest ever offerings to MIPTV 2012, reflecting its focus and commitment to distributing exciting content to audiences around the world
SBS International, Head of Programme Sales, Lara von Ahlefeldt said: “As Australia’s leading multicultural broadcaster, SBS’ content is unique and culturally diverse, and as a result we’re seeing a growing demand for our programs internationally.

New for MIPTV 2012 will be the highly-anticipated comedy series Danger 5, multi-lingual factual series Once Upon a Time in Cabramatta, as well as a broad range of brand new food and factual titles.
SBS International has recently concluded a number of key new deals including a global deal with National Geographic for their Adventure channels in Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa, the Living Channel in New Zealand and UKTV in England for My Sri Lanka with Peter Kuruvita.
