Second thoughts on Carolyn’s quest
Dr Mumbo rather admired NineMSN marketing director Carolyn Managh’s personal touch in her first posting on her new corporate blog. As Mumbrella reported earlier this week, she shared with her readers her single status, revealing:
“Making a connection with someone and then getting them to buy me a drink, let alone get a date is clearly no small feat, given my current single state. Can’t just sit around the house and do nothing. Time to formulate a plan. Fortuitiously, I’ve also been mulling over a parallel dilemma of brands coping to make connections in an increasingly complex, digitalised and fractured world…”
Sadly, a week after posting, and she appears to have had second thoughts, changing the piece to say:
“Recently I’ve been mulling over a modern-day dilemma for brands coping to make connections with audiences in an increasingly complex, digitalised and fractured world…what I like to term ‘matchmaking’.”
The rest of the piece has been similarly depersonalised. Which seems a shame, as surely her blog is a perfect opportunity to convince potential suitors that she’s smart and successful. Either that, or the posting has done so well that she’s already off the market.
