SEN Spirit 621 to launch

Radio channel SEN Spirit – 621 AM Southwest will launch on Monday 24th of August 2020 in Bunbury, Western Australia.

The announcement:

The all new SEN Spirit – 621 AM will launch on Monday with a new look, new line-up and new sound!

Listeners can expect all the music they know and love, with a fresh injection of Australia’s other favourite past time – sport!

SEN Spirit will become the new home of sport and music for listeners in the Southwest with a brand new breakfast show hosted by presenter and commentator Tim Gossage alongside Bunbury local and former Hot FM and Radiowest presenter Naomi ‘Nay’ Pearce. Pearce who has been busy making dreams come true as a marriage celebrant for the past 12 years said she can’t wait to return to radio.

“I cannot wait to get back on the air and stir Gossie everyday. Radio has never left my veins and I look forward to re-connecting with my Southwest listeners and having an awesome time!” said Pearce who will also host Your Say with Nay, 10am -12pm each weekday.

Gossage was born in Bunbury, legend has it he was officially the last baby born in Stirling Hospital before it closed, so he’s rapt to be back on air in the Southwest.

“I’m always happy to tell the world I’m a Bunbury boy and now to be part of the local community through this show is super exciting,” Gossage said.

Station favourite Ash ‘Dillo’ Dillon will host The Long Lunch with Dillo from noon and carry through for the drive home – happy he can now have a sleep-in!

“After 12 years of 4.30am starts I’m pretty chuffed to be taking the reins for our listeners over lunch and the drive home,” he said.

Dillo will also host Southwest Saturday with Dillo on Saturday mornings 8-11am – playing all the music you know and love from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s.

Following Dillo, Sportsday WA with former West Coast Eagles premiership player Karl Langdon and four-time Glendinning-Allan medallist and former Fremantle Docker Paul Hasleby – will deliver all the day’s sports news, views and interviews, 5-8pm Monday – Thursday.

Acclaimed sports broadcaster Gerard Whateley’s number one sports radio show* Whateley will also be heard live on SEN Spirit from 8-10am Monday-Thursday while early birds will catch the country’s most downloaded AM radio breakfast show* Garry Lyon & Tim Watson live from 4-6am.

If it’s happening in live sport, SEN Spirit will take you there – with live coverage of AFL matches via AFL Nation every round – including every Eagles and Dockers game.

SEN Spirit will put you closer to the action than you’ve ever been before – with coverage of the 2020 State of Origin in November, plus Big Bash and the marquee matches from the Australian Open tennis over summer.

Station manager Travis Green said the new format would give listeners the best of both worlds.

“WA is a great sporting state and, we love to get behind our local teams across all codes. It’s really exciting to be able to bring all the latest sports news, big name interviews and live action – while still delivering all the music that listeners have come to love from our station,” he said.

From Bunbury to Harvey; Dunsborough to Donnybrook, SEN Spirit will deliver the most-loved local names alongside some of the country’s biggest sporting identities – and it all roars to life from Monday 24th August. That’s the SEN Spirit!
