Sensis appoints new chief product and customer experience officer

Sensis has appointed Matt Mulligan as its new chief product and customer experience officer.

The announcement:

In the latest extension to the Executive Leadership Team, Matt Mulligan is set to join Sensis as Chief Product and Customer Experience Officer to help drive the Company’s goal of being Australia’s leading platforms business.

With 20 years of product experience in start-ups and listed businesses in Australia and the USA, Matt has a well established reputation as a ‘product guy’. Most recently, Matt was Chief Product Officer at Brickfloor, an innovative proptech business, reshaping the home seller experience.

Matt spent almost 10 years in a number of roles at MYOB as Head of Product (Connected Services), driving product strategy and commercialising products and partnerships in payments, lending, e-commerce and data. Prior to that he was General Manager delivering online products and services to ANZ small businesses.

“I am delighted we managed to bring Matt into the leadership team at Sensis,” says Sensis CEO John Allan. “Matt brings a wealth of experience and his knowledge will be vital as we build our SaaS offerings”.

Matt is extremely passionate about small business and in particular making it easier for SMBs to attract and retain customers and run simpler, more effective operations.

Matt brings to Sensis a proven track record in product development and delivery, where he will focus on three key areas to help drive products and platforms forward: Product-led growth; Platform thinking and Partnerships.

Matt commenced his new position on Monday 7 September and is excited to join the team, claiming one of the reasons he joined Sensis is his belief in its strategy. “The Sensis strategy really resonates with me – the business has incredible assets and is uniquely placed to deliver a business platform for SMEs with its centre of gravity in the front office, where the really gritty problems are,” says Matt.
