Seven dominates the weekly rankings
The extent of Seven’s early ratings dominance for 2011 over Nine and Ten has been demonstrated in last week’s show rankings which saw Seven take nine out of the top ten slots.
One factor that helped Seven achieve the feat was separate coding for each night of My Kitchen Rules.
Seven’s Border Security was 11th and Nine News was 12th.
The numbers above are the average metro rankings for week ten of the ratings year as compiled by OzTam.
Seven has had one of the strongest starts to the ratings season in recent years, while Nine and Ten have both struggled.
After this week Seven will rest its ratings blockbuster Packed To The Rafters to make way for new local drama Winners & Losers in the Tuesday timeslot.
However if there was a slot for:
Never turned the box on all weekend
That would probably have the highest rating.
TV Advertisers and their agencies should be finding out WHY?

Jean – “Off” has been the highest rating TV choice for the 20+ years I have been involved.
And you know what … so is “not reading” a newspaper or magazine, not going to the cinema outrates going to the cinema, and not listening to radio is bigger than listening to the radio. And this may shock you – but not using the internet is also higher than using the internet.
And I think all TV advertisers and agencies know why …. it’s called LIVING LIFE.
Now let’s get on with it.

Yes John, but people who don’t engage want their silence heard!
I always find it comforting when I read the TV ratings that while 1.4m Australians watch Today Tonight, 20.6m don’t!

I agree Adam – I am starting to wonder if Mumbrella are sponsored by the 7 Network with such a list.

You idiot, Mumbrella is simply reporting the top TV programs for the week, which were predominantly on Seven. This is a valuable insight for those working in the media industry. Mumbrella would have reported the same thing whether it was Seven, Nine or Ten dominating the top TV programs.
