Seven News wins in three metro markets, but Masterchef leads in key demographics
Seven News was the ratings winner for Monday and was the most-watched show in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. However, nipping at its heels was Ten’s Masterchef which led among viewers 16-39s, 18-49s and 25-54s.
Nine also had a good night, with its evening news, Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory all up compared to last week, according to preliminary overnight OzTam data in the main metro markets.
The Big Bang Theory came in second to Masterchef among 16-39s and 18-49s.
Ten’s Good News Week, which aired from 8:30-10pm, also bettered its overall ratings from last week, with 1.042m viewers.
Among the main metro cities, Masterchef continued to lead in Melbourne, while in Sydney it was led by Nine News.
But for the ABC, many of its prime time shows saw a drop in rating compared to last Monday. While its evening news saw a slight rise, the 7:30 Report, Australian Story, Four Corners, Media Watch and Q&A all fell.
Among the results, Media Watch was down from 719,000 last Monday to 660,000; Four Corners was down from 821,000 to 609,000; and Australian Story fell from 903,000 to 833,000.
Seven’s The Zoo and Find My Family continued to see a drop in ratings compared to last week, with 890,000 and 793,000 respectively.
