Seven poised for another weekly win after dominating Friday viewing
AFL once again outrated the NRL and Better Homes & Gardens was the top entertainment show, helping Channel Seven to a comfortable Friday night win.
Geelong Cats’ home loss to Sydney Swans drew in 466,000 viewers across Melbourne and Adelaide from 7.30pm, while the NRL clash between Parramatta Eels and Sydney Roosters managed 440,000 in Sydney and Brisbane on Channel Nine, according to OzTam overnight ratings.
Seven News at 6pm was the most-watched program with 1.057m viewers, while Better Homes and Gardens’ 743,000 at 7pm helped Seven to a comfortable win with 22.2% audience share to Nine’s 15.6% and Ten’s 11.7%.
Ten’s best show was The Living Room at 7.30pm which had 602,000 viewers, while the ABC’s best non-news shot was a New Tricks repeat with 440,000 viewers.
Seven looks set to wrap up what will be its 16th weekly win in the official ratings period, with Nine on just four, sitting on a share of 19.3% to 17.6% with just Saturday night to go. Ten sits on a cumulative share of 16.1% after Masterchef dominated prime time during the week.
