BWM is moving creative director for digital innovation Shaun Branagan to its Melbourne office.

Branagan was key to BWM winning Kmart in June, and will take the creative lead on the retailer’s account from BWM’s office on Bond Street, South Yarra.

Branagan will lead a Melbourne team that includes creative group head Amy Hollier and senior art director Gus Johnston. BWM Melbourne now has 27 staff.

Previously Rocky Ranallo oversaw creative across both offices, and he will now focus on Sydney.

Branagan, who joined the agency last year from the now defunct Adpartners, will also take on the role of head of innovation for BWM nationally.

Before Adpartners, Branagan was ECD at the now defunct NetX, prior to stints at Saatchi & Saatchi Hong Kong and Y&R in Sydney.

“Shaun has a fantastic ability to think creatively across all media, from traditional TV to breakthrough digital,” said BWM executive creative director Rob Belgiovane. “He is one of the industry’s most experienced and respected creative directors having worked across a huge range of clients in a number of markets.”

Earlier this week, BWM unveiled its first work for Kmart.
