Former Sunrise weatherman Grant Denyer will host SildeShow
Former Sunrise weatherman Grant Denyer will host a new quiz show on Channel Seven, with production starting this month.
SlideShow will be produced by Shine Australia and was based on a ” successful new format from France.” Said format is a games show called AnythingGoes and was produced by Shine International and made its debut on France’s TF1 last year.
Denyer will act as “ringmaster” with Cal Wilson and Toby Truslove as team captains. They will be joined each week by Australian celebrities including actors, comedians and sporting personalities.
Brad Lyons, Seven’s Network director of production, said in the announcement: “This is a big, boisterous show and the whole family will be able to sit down together and have a laugh. And we’re thrilled Grant is hosting. He’s great fun, he’s smart and he has tons of energy. He’s the perfect fit.”
Denyer suddenly left Sunrise last month.
SlideShow will air later this year.
Seriously the most annoying person to ever appear on TV.
Here’s hoping he comes back with a persona other than the whacky zany weather guy that even he got sick of in the end.

It seems to have taken a while for Oz tv to catch up to the poms with the overabundance of panel shows, but we are slowly catching.
Now if only we could get some decent hosts of these shows.

Can’t half tell the guy “made” Sunrise a success. I can’t watch that show since he left without falling asleep. I love watching him. My entire extended family back me up. He has true talent – rare on Aussie TV nowadays sorry. He’s brilliant, quick witted, a touch naughty & sounds like the show is right up his alley so to speak. Finally something decent to watch again. Good move Channel Seven.
