Shopify appoints Meta talent as PR & communications director
Ecommerce website Shopify has appointed Ben McConaghy as its director, PR & communications APAC.
McConahy joins from Meta, formerly Facebook, where his most recent title was director, policy communications based in Singapore.

McConaghy has also held roles at Herd MSL and BBS Communications Group.
On his appointment, McConaghy said: “I’m thrilled to join the fast growing team at Shopify, leading PR in APAC. The retail industry is at an inflection point globally, with endless opportunities for the entrepreneurial spirit to shine even in challenging circumstances. Shopify puts its merchants at the heart of its communications strategies, and I’m excited to be at the helm to share their inspiring stories.”
Shopify managing director APAC Shaun Broughton added: “Ben brings a wealth of local and global experience in public relations strategy to Shopify in APAC.
