Shout Digital welcomes new head of growth

Digital marketing agency Shout Digital has officially welcomed a new head of growth, nabbing Fuller Brand Communication’s digital marketing strategist, Mumbrella can reveal.

Matilda Toepfer joins after nearly nine years at Fuller and has been tasked with championing the agency’s huge growth plans for the second half of 2024 and beyond.

With the first half of the year seeing a 20% increase in its workforce, Shout Digital has been lucky to avoid the mass cost cutting reductions and redundancies affecting many in the industry. It now sits with 100 retained clients, and plans to double that number by the end of 2026.

It has also recently promoted Shanaka Thanapathy to head of SEO, and Ari Saikkonen to head of client success.

“The agency has been around for 14 years and, it just so happens, the average experience of our 25-strong team is also 14 years,” said founder and MD, Michael Jenkins.

“We’ve got a lot of very talented and very experienced people at Shout.”

Toepfer said Shout’s value-driven ethos and staff-first approach to management aligned closely with her own professional values.

“As head of growth I’ll be leading the charge for both Shout and our SME partners simultaneously. Client and agency success is fundamentally symbiotic. My first project has been unveiling Shout’s rebrand, which is anchored with the vision we share with our clients: Let’s grow big together,” she said.

“This joint ambition also sets the tone for the relationships we’ll enjoy with our next 100 client partners.”

She acknowledged that clients must see benefits from their investments into the digital space in order for the agency to sustain its ambitious growth plans, and said Shout is prepared to make that happen.

“Shout exists to maximise gains from agile and cost effective digital marketing strategies at a time when a number of sectors – including retail and hospitality – are needing to compete for limited discretionary household income,” she said. 

“We are able to work with clients investing as little as $1500 a month in a range of services, have a raft of case studies to demonstrate success, and look forward to welcoming many more client partners joining us on this growth journey.”
