Simon Fitzgerald exits Text100 after 12 years for Bendigo and Adelaide Bank senior comms role

Managing director at Text100, Simon Fitzgerald has departed the PR agency after spending 12 years across both its Australian and Ireland offices.

Fitzgerald will begin his new role with Bendigo and Adelaide Bank later this month as a senior public relations manager.

For the past nine months Fitzgerald has been the acting managing director after he spent two years as the agency’s VP of integrated marketing communications.

Throughout his career at Text100 Fitzgerald has also held positions including the deputy managing director and digital communications lead, senior account director, account director and senior account manager.

Fitzgerald’s departure comes just before Text100’s managing director Karen Coleman returns after taking time off for maternity leave.

In a statement to Mumbrella, Fitzgerald said: “Over the years, Text100 has offered me the ability to work with some of the world’s most exciting brands and hold several fantastic and rewarding senior agency roles, whilst being majority-based in South Australia.

“I am excited that my new move to Bendigo and Adelaide Bank will allow me to focus my energy on another dynamic industry, undergoing a lot of change. I look forward to bringing the best of agency practice and my deep technology and business marketing communications experience to my new role.”

Text100′ has worked with clients including Coca-Cola, IBM, Cisco and TomTom.
