Hypertext Australia will be led by Terry Whitaker and aims to provide content, strategy, PR and social services for brands across the entertainment, lifestyle, food, sports and travel sector.

Whitaker joined the company in October 2016 as director of creative and strategy after working for Major League Baseball in Australia as marketing and communications manager.

In January of this year the agency won three new clients, Sydney Festival, the US National Football League (NFL) and Petronas.

Karen Coleman, managing director at Text100 Australia, said: “We’re excited to kick off the year with these three great brands and the launch of the Hypertext division in Australia.

“We made some strategic hires in the past six months to propel our growth into new markets and industries and it’s paying off. The year ahead will see us continue down this path embracing new skills and launching new services as we continue to build on our tech heritage.”

Hypertext is launching a local marketing strategy for the NFL to boost Australian TV viewership and subscriptions as well as launching Petronas Syntium oil in Australia at this year’s Australian Grand Prix.
