Sky News Business to broadcast from QLD

Sky News Business will broadcast live from Queensland this week  – to highlight the challenges of rebuilding businesses after the floods.   

The announcement:

On Monday, January 31, SKY NEWS BUSINESS heads north to the sunshine state, as Queensland faces the challenge of rebuilding after the worst floods in decades.

For a week, the SKY NEWS BUSINESS team will broadcast live from Brisbane, giving Queensland businesses a national platform to help get them back on track.

Queensland Premier, Anna Bligh, said: “We really need to get the message out that Queensland is still open for business” and has welcomed the support from SKY NEWS BUSINESS at a time when the state is rebuilding homes, businesses and lives Brisbane Lord Mayor, Campbell Newman, has also thrown his support behind the broadcast that will give Queensland companies and business leaders a national profile.

SKY NEWS BUSINESS reporter Brooke Corte will be joined by a who’s who of Queensland business, including Treasurer Andrew Fraser, Suncorp CEO Patrick Snowball and Bank of Queensland boss David Liddy.

Small business will also be a focus for the week with stories featuring smaller companies and how they are working together to help each other.
