Sling & Stone picks up PR for Turo ahead of Australian launch

Global car sharing marketplace Turo has appointed Sling & Stone as its Australian agency of record ahead of its upcoming local launch, Mumbrella can reveal.

The peer-to-peer car sharing platform is already expands into the region after successfully launching in the UK, USA and Canada, making transportation for convenient, accessible, economical and fun by allowing hosts to share their personal vehicles on the platform.

Tim Rossanis, managing director of Turo Australia, said: “We’re excited to provide local hosts with an entrepreneurial opportunity to supplement their income, while helping to meet the increasing demand from both Aussies and international visitors around the country. Turo plans to put the 20 million registered cars in Australia to better use and expand access for local car owners to a global network of guests.
