SMI data boss Tristan Masters to depart for Qantas analytics role with Red Planet
The director of analytics at Standard Media Index (SMI) Tristan Masters is to depart for a role in Qantas’s new data division Red Planet as senior manager of professional services.
Masters has been in the role with the SMI since 2012, starting as analytics manager before being promoted to director of analytics.
“We are obviously very sad to see Tristan go”, Jane Schulze, managing director of SMI told Mumbrella. “He has been a huge part of SMI but we wish him the best future success at Qantas.”
Masters has been a high profile part of SMI’s operations often presenting its data at major industry events and functions.
He has previously been a senior commercial analyst at Foxtel and economist at the Australian Communications and Media Authority.
SMI partners with media buying agencies to provide independent data on their expenditure and analysis of the media sector.
