Sony Foundation launches charity marketplace via OMD, Saatchi & Saatchi and 3DUX

Sony Foundation has launched Bid2Give, an online marketplace to raise funds for youth oriented charity programs.

Three agencies provided pro bono support to the project: Saatchi & Saatchi, OMD Australia, and 3DUX.

Each agency contributed to a different area of the campaign. Saatchi & Saatchi created the brand identity, 3DUX consulted on the website design and build while OMD Australia designed the digital campaign assets.

Funds raised by the project will go towards Sony Foundations’ youth programs. The benefits from the first round of prizes will go to Sony Foundation’s Holiday Camp Program that supports children, adolescents, and young adults with disabilities. Sony Foundation has told Mumbrella it hopes to raise over $250,000 in the first round.

Sophie Ryan, CEO at Sony Foundation, said: “With COVID restrictions impacting our events, Bid2Give provides Sony Foundation an opportunity to continue supporting Australian youth, whilst innovating our fundraising.

“We know consumers gravitate towards brands and personalities that are purpose driven, and will spend more when they know their dollars go towards meaningful impact.”

Prizes up for grabs from 26 April to 7 May 2021 include Angus Young from AC/DC’s signed Gibson Guitar, Pink’s signed jacket and concert tickets, and Amy Shark’s signed jacket with a virtual meet and greet.

Aimee Buchanan, CEO at OMD Australia, said: “We are thrilled to have helped bring this fundraiser to life through our creative and media teams. With some incredible money can’t buy prizes and experiences on offer, we hope it is a huge success.”
