Spectrum MD Henderson moves to rival agency DEC Communications
Spectrum Communications managing director Michael Henderson is leaving the PR agency to take on the new role of chief executive of DEC Communications.
Henderson will join DEC on May 24 and will work with the PR agency’s founder and managing director, Agata Kenna. His role will also include leading the agency’s new technology and digital PR division.
DEC’s clients include Westfield, Mirvac, EA Sports, Darrell Lea, Mars Petcare and Delta Airlines.
Meanwhile, Henderson’s vacated role at Spectrum will be filled by the MD of its sister company Max Australia, Laura Skelley. She will assume the new position of joint MD across both agencies.
Prior to Spectrum, Henderson held a senior role at Blackie McDonald Communications.
Spectrum and Max were Blue Freeway-owned agencies until the marketing group was bought by majority shareholder, Michael Hannan’s IPMG last year.
Wow Michael – Didn’t see this one coming, but congratulations! Sure you’ll do awesome things over at DEC 🙂 Nice work!
