Spotify’s head of PR and communications, Sophie Paterson, departs
Spotify’s head of PR and communications for Australia and New Zealand, Sophie Paterson, has departed after eight years.
Paterson is the latest in a string of senior departures for the music streaming service, the most recent being managing director Karen Lawson in March.
The recruitment process to fill Paterson’s role is already underway.
Prior to her time at Spotify, Paterson spent almost three years as an account manager at Frank PR.
In June last year, Spotify’s head of sales Cassie Gilbert departed the business. Soon after, head of automation and data, Dan Robins, was made redundant.
Robins is now the director of the media team at PwC’s CMO Advisory. Gilbert is the agency lead at Pinterest.
Gilbert was replaced by Bauer Media’s former digital strategy and commercial director, Peter Manten, in September last year.
Spotify and Paterson have been contacted for comment.
Eleven won Spotify’s PR and social account in 2018, however the brand now works with Hill + Knowlton.
Eleven won and lost the account in the space of 12-months. Hill & Knolton were then given the business as part of a Global relationship.
