Sprite asks Sydneysiders to throw down the gauntlet for spicy wing challenge

Sprite is gearing up to convert chicken wing restaurant, Wings and Tins, into a sweat-inducing ‘House of Heat’ in late August.

The beverage brand’s House of Heat will play host to a spicy wing challenge developed in partnership with Wings and Tins.

“Compete against friends and strangers as you try to tackle rounds of spicy wings, which only get hotter as the night goes on,” the event’s sign-up page reads.

The challenge’s menu has been carefully crafted to complement Sprite, and supports a range of flavours such as hot habanero, spicy siracha, mouthwatering chili, and smoky chipotle.

Participants can expect to take advantage of the vast stores of Sprite that the House will have on hand for the event.

Additionally, 2dayFM Breakfast show duo, Jimmy and Nath, will be in attendance to serve as MCs for the night, along with freebies, prizes and a DJ to keep the energy moving.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be bringing the heat to Aussies that love all things spicy!” Coca-Cola Australia’s senior marketing director, Kate Miller, expressed.

“We know the feeling of loving spicy food but needing a refreshing beverage to help cool yourself down. We feel there’s no better way than with an ice-cold Sprite, so we invite Aussies to join us and take on our spicy challenge.”

Wings and Tins co-owner Anthony MacFarlane (Macca) added: “We take our spice very seriously at Wings and Tins, so we’re pretty excited to work with Sprite to create a unique experience showcasing our delicious sauces and chicken wings which will definitely bring some proper heat to the spice lovers of Sydney.”

The House of Heat will officially come to life at Wings and Tin’s address, 2 Chapel St, Darlinghurst NSW 2010 on August 30 at 6:00pm.

Those eager to indulge in the challenge’s tantalising heat can register for free here – successful entries will be given two tickets.
