Starcom Australia chief executive officer departs
The chief executive officer of Publicis Groupe’s Starcom Australia, Nick Keenan, is departing the agency after nearly five years.
In a statement sent to Mumbrella, Publicis Groupe ANZ’s CEO, Michael Rebelo, confirmed the news.
“After four-and-a-half years, Nick Keenan has departed from his role as CEO of Starcom Australia,” Rebelo said.
“On behalf of the Groupe in ANZ, I would like to thank Nick for his contributions and wish him all the best for the future.”
Keenan joined Starcom Australia in 2020 after two years as chief executive officer of fast food restaurant Red Rooster.
At the time, Rebelo said: “Nick is a proven leader with a strong track record of working in dynamic and fast-changing business environments. His adaptive and collaborative nature is a perfect fit for the culture of Publicis Groupe.”
He has a wealth of experience both agency and brand-side, having previously held roles at CrownBet, CrownLotto, Maxus, Mediacom, and News Limited.
Mumbrella understands recruitment for a new Starcom leader is underway, and an update will be provided in due course.
