Starcom shakes up national leadership team with series of promotions

Publicis-owned media agency Starcom has made a series of promotions and added a new Sydney managing director role, which has been filled by Nancy Lan.

Lan has been with the agency for almost two years and was most recently the agency’s national commercial partnerships director.

Starcom has made a series of new appointments

Starcom’s national strategy director Graeme Wood has also been promoted to the newly created role of national head of futures and product.

Wood joined the agency in February 2017 from his previous role as m2m’s head of strategy.

Replacing Wood as national head of strategy is Sally Christian. Christian was previously a group business strategist for the Publicis Groupe.

Sev Griffiths, who has been contracting for Starcom, is replacing Lan as the agency’s national commercial partnerships director.

Toby Barbour, CEO at Starcom Australia, said in a statement: “As the human experience company, our focus is on understanding the new customer desire and brand need in a world of accelerated change and choice. Our strong performance in 2018 has created real momentum.

“As people experts, we are now positioned to amplify our value creation for clients, acting as part consumer behavioural science experts, customer experience specialists and brand storytellers. Our approach is testament to our commitment to delivering measurable value for our clients and strong return on experience.”

The new appoints come after the agency secured new and extended old agency relationships including Procter & Gamble, Football Federation of Australia and Snooze.
