Starcom wins at Festival of Media Awards, while Mars awarded advertiser of the year

Starcom and Whybin\TBWA were the Australian winners for their Mars work at this year’s Festival of Media Awards.

The first dedicated global media awards which are held in Spain, Valencia, saw Starcom and Whybin\TBWA win the consumer benefit category for their Mars Pedigree Dog Adoption campaign.

It was also recently awarded the Grand Prix at the Internationalist Awards.

Starcom received another award with Channel Ten for the Mars Strauchanie: Sponsoring a legend campaign, in the best use of content category.

The work was also a Cannes Media Lion winner last year and received a Gold at the Internationalist Awards.

The campaign involved the creation of a fake sponsorship linking Mars with spoof AFL personality, Strauchanie.

In other wins, Mars was awarded advertiser of the year, while Mediacom was awarded agency network of the year.

The full list of winners can be found on the Festival of Media website.
