New owners, clients for Stellar Concepts

Leading Australian communications agency, Stellar Concepts, has announced its directors Hayley Cole and Gabrielle Sigelski have acquired the business from the agency’s founder, Marguerite Julian, in an exciting move for the agency of 21 years.

The pair have co-directed Stellar for the past two years and have now notched ten years together. The duo came together at Stellar in 2007 driving the communications strategy for ghd hair which saw it quickly take market leadership position in its category and contributed to its cult brand status and business growth over the proceeding decade.

Cole continued to build Stellar’s brand portfolio moving into a general management role while Sigelski took on her own successful business venture and a contract with Red Bull’s global communications team based in Austria.

“Our partnership has been tried and tested with complimentary skills and a shared vision for agency evolution and workplace culture,” Cole noted.

“With a brilliant team in place, excellent clients and big goals for the future, we look forward to rolling out a fresh and innovative agency model over the next six months, leading the business into its next phase with an emphasis on social and content,” added Sigelski.

“I am thrilled that Hayley and Gabrielle have decided to embark on such an exciting opportunity together. We have been working behind the scenes on the business transition for the past six months and I’m so elated to pass the baton on to such a formidable team,” Julian said.

Stellar has already seen a positive response to the takeover with new client wins including AMP Capital Shopping Centres, Kinder Chocolate and The Macallan Whiskey (through its distributor Spirits Platform).

An immediate team re-structure influenced by the organic growth of its social and content arm over the past 12 months has seen Kali Austin move into a Content & Media Specialist role, and the appointment of Stephanie Turek in a supporting role of Content & Media Coordinator.

The shift in ownership has seen a physical change too, with an office move to La Porte Space in Rosebery, a creative work space with a thriving collaborative and innovative culture.

Stellar has worked with an incredible mix of established and change-making brands over its 21 years including Merivale, Cointreau, Colorbond, ghd Hair, Red Bull, Archie Rose, Cafe Sydney, A.H. Beard, Marquee, The Star, H&M, VS Sassoon, Arbonne, Disaronno, acre Eatery, Taste of Sydney and Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics.
