Stevie Rooney departs QBE as manager of brand and marketing communications
QBE Group Insurance’s manager of brand and marketing communications, Stevie Rooney, has departed the company after almost three years in the role.
In January, Vivienne Bower joined QBE Insurance Group as its head of communications and marketing, which meant Rooney’s brand work sat within Bower’s new role.
Mumbrella understands Rooney departed the company due to the restructure.
Rooney sat within the QBE Insurance Groups communications team and was responsible for the brand’s global alignment and strengthening of QBE brand.
During his time at QBE Insurance Rooney was responsible for delivering QBE’s new ‘100 per cent commitment’ brand position in 2015.
Rooney is now the director of brand and communications at Australian charity, The Benevolent Society.
Prior to joining QBE, Rooney was a senior marketing consultant at BPAY for three months after departing IAG as a manager of the IAG and NRMA Brand.
Throughout his career Rooney also spent three and a half years at Telstra as an agency services manager, general manager of creative and general manager of brand channels.
QBE Insurance declined to comment while Stevie Rooney had not responded to Mumbrella at the time of publishing.
