The Story Lab recruits former Carat CMO Adriana Colaneri as MD

Global content agency The Story Lab has appointed Adriana Colaneri, former chief marketing officer of Carat Australia, as the new managing director of Australia and New Zealand.

Colaneri joins Dentsu-Aegis’ content agency after 12 years with Carat and will replace managing director Australia and New Zealand, Richard Chapman who left in October last year.

In her 20 years working in the industry, Colaneri has experience across agencies including Zenith Optimedia, Mediacom, and GPY&R.

Greg Brown, president of Dentsu Aegis Network’s Amplifi division said the appointment would assist with The Story Lab’s future growth.

“We conducted an extensive recruitment process to find the right fit as leader of The Story Lab. Adriana brings exceptional marketing, media and leadership experience to the role, and comes on board to lead The Story Lab at an exciting time of growth and development for the agency,” said Brown.

“It’s an exciting time as we roll out a new content vision, and having worked at Viacom and content businesses in London it’s great to work with Adriana in this space.”

Colaneri said she was “elated” and looking forward to reshaping The Story Lab offering.

She will be working with the agency to help clients tell “interesting stories” about brands through content.
