Gregor: Stepping away from running Liquid Ideas was too hard

The boss of PR agency Liquid Ideas opened up to the Mumbrella360 audience about the rapid departure of the woman he brought in to run the agency he founded.

Last month, Liquid ideas announced that Samantha Allen was leaving just a year after coming in to share the running of the fast growing agency with him.

Sitting on the Mumbrella Question Time panel, Stuart Gregor was asked what was the hardest thing he had done in the last year.

He said: “I tried to step away from a business I created and founded and built myself and I found that incredibly difficult,” he said.

“When you are a small agency and you founded the agency, you get to a point when you as a leader have to step aside in order for it to grow. That’s really bloody hard. What I learned is that it’s about leadership. One strong leader is better than two pulling in different directions.”
